United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's United for Veterans Program is proud to share the Veterans Connections program to improve overall wellbeing while building community for veterans and service members in northeastern Minnesota!

When: January 30 - February 1, 2026
Where: Sugar Lake Lodge (37584 Otis Lane, Cohasset MN)
Details: Veterans are encouraged to come as individuals, bring a significant other, or bring their family to this low-cost retreat to connect with people with shared life experiences from across the region.
Registration: Registration is open to veterans and servicemembers who live or work in UWNEMN's service area ONLY. Registration closes January 5, 2026.
When: June 2026 (date TBA)
Where: Hibbing Speedway (1799 E 23rd St, Hibbing, MN 55746)
Details: Local veterans and servicemembers will receive a wristband for free entry + a meal certificate. All family members are required to pay for a regular priced admission. Kids 12 & under are free.

Where: Minnesota Discovery Center (1005 Discovery Dr, Chisholm, MN 55719)
Details: Local veterans, service members, and family members are invited to enjoy mini golf, a trolley ride, and a tour of Minnesota Discovery Center.

Where: Hibbing Rifle and Trap Club (3946 Marksmanship Center Rd., Hibbing MN 55746)
Details: Local veterans and service members are invited to free target shooting at the Hibbing Rifle/Pistol Club. Participants will be responsible for bringing their own firearm and ammunition. A meal will be provided!

Where: Range Recreation Civic Center, Curl Mesabi (901 Hat Trick Ave, Eveleth, MN 55734)
Details: Local veterans and service members are invited to connect over coffee while learning to curl from Curl Mesabi members.
