People carry boxes of winter clothing into Falls Elementary school. Snow is on the ground, and people are in heavy coats and boots.

UWNEMN's Winter Warm Up project delivers quality hats, mittens, gloves, and snow pants to schools across Koochiching County to ensure all local students are able to get outside and stay active with their peers in the winter - despite our notoriously frigid winters.

The project was inspired through conversations during our summer Step Into School program and is made possible entirely by the support of local donors and volunteers.

“This could not come at a better time. I can think of kids who will take these things home with them today.”
